Roger lives in mid Cornwall where he has lived for more than 30 years. He was born on the Isle of Wight in 1949, although he spent his formative years in Norfolk.
Educated at the Duke of York’s School in Dover, he left there in 1966 to join the army. After ten years in H.M.Forces he left the army and returned to Norwich, where he was drawn to the scenery of North Norfolk, which can be seen in some of his paintings.
In 1986 Roger moved to Cornwall with his family and then again in 2004 to Penwith, the area beyond Penzance towards Lands End. The area is famous for its artistic community and it rekindled his interest in painting, both traditional and abstract.
In 2009 Roger was approached by an Italian artisan brewer from Querceta in Tuscany to design a bottle label for his brewery, and in 2010 he was contacted by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Philadelphia for them to use one of his works for their promotional folders and support material for a forthcoming medical forum.
As well as selling works in this country Roger has sold to clients as far afield as the USA, Canada and Australia and he has had commissions for paintings for peoples houses/villages in the UK, France and Italy.
